As Head of PNC’s Asset Management Group, Brown oversees wealth management and private banking services for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families, as well as personalized investment and advisory solutions for institutional clients. Prior to joining PNC in 2019, Brown had a more than 25-year career as one of the nation’s top municipal finance investment bankers, including serving as the City of Chicago’s Chief Financial Officer.

Throughout his career, Brown has brought his extensive leadership experience to several civic, community and non-profit boards, including the Steppenwolf Theater Company and the Metropolitan Planning Council, as well as serving as a member of the ‘Economic Club of Chicago, from the Executives’ Club of Chicago. and the Chicago network.

An accomplished executive with more than 20 years of diverse leadership experience, Bynum leads PNC’s community affairs and corporate social responsibility; Community Development Bank; and the Diversity and Inclusion divisions as Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer. Throughout his 17-year career at PNC, which began in 2005 with his Executive Leadership Program, Bynum previously served as PNC’s Regional President in Greater Washington and served as Executive Director of various divisions, including the Greater Washington retail and head of PNC Business Banking.

Bynum—who has been recognized as one of Washington, D.C.’s most influential business leaders by the Washington Business Journal—serves on the boards of numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, including the Board of enterprise of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture; the Economic Club of Washington, DC; the Wolf Trap National Park for the performing arts; the Federal Municipal Council; the Philip L.
