Giant Food teams up with Flashfood on Pilot


Giant Food is working with Flashfood, a digital marketplace that provides customers with access to discounted foods approaching their expiration date, to initially deliver the app-based solution to three Giant stores in Maryland and Virginia. The pilot program continues the expansion of Flashfood’s partnership with Giant’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize USA, and its regional store brands, which include the The Giant Co. and Stop & Shop.

The Flashfood app allows customers to browse deals on fresh produce such as meat, product boxes, dairy and baked goods, as well as foods and snacks from downtown stores approaching their date. expiration date.
