Nico’s Pizza and Pasta in Danbury for Sale

First they were closing their doors, then reopening in a few weeks and now Danbury Pizzeria is for sale.

It was Monday (6/14/21) that we heard that Nico’s Pizza and Pasta in Danbury could close permanently. Then on Tuesday (6/15/21) their outgoing message said they would take two to four weeks vacation and come back. Now according to a list of New England Real Estate Services Brokerage, the business is for sale.

The listing agent is Lisa Brown who shared this description of the business:

Owner ready to retire and selling a longtime family owned pizzeria in the heart of the downtown district. This location is one of the busiest corners of town and surrounded by off campus apartments, library public, a performing arts theater, schools and banks. “

It’s been a whirlwind of a few days for Nico and I can’t imagine what they went through making this decision. I tried several times to contact the owner to get an official announcement directly from the source and was unsuccessful.

If you are interested in the business in the market for $ 130,000 you can contact Lisa Brown at (203) 733-1613 or visit the Brokerage of New England website.

It was the sign that hung on the door on Sunday when I went to get food that made me curious about the future of the restaurant.

In the Youtube video below you can hear the different outgoing messages, the first was the one I recorded Monday morning announcing the closure, the second, recorded Tuesday announcing the closure / temporary vacation.

It’s a story we’ve been covering on the Ethan and Lou Morning Show on I-95 all week. I want the people of Nico to know that their food and service has been appreciated as a customer. I also want to get out the message they want to send.

If this article reaches any of the staff or owner George, please feel free to use the phone number I left on your machine. We would love to see anyone from Nico come to the Ethan and Lou Show.
